Bio
Emerging from the shadows of Switzerland's underground, Dame Tu Alma—Spanish for Give Me Your Soul – has forged a sound where darkness meets irresistible melody. Formed by four musicians from four different nations, the band—Vulture King (vocals), Vidame de LaFey (guitar), Baron Legba (bass), and Sypher (drums)—blends the brooding atmosphere of gothic rock with the weight of modern metal and the accessibility of alternative rock, creating songs that are as haunting as they are unforgettable.
Following their first live appearances on the Swiss club and festival circuit in 2018 and 2019, the pandemic brought the band's momentum to an unexpected halt. Rather than standing still, Dame Tu Alma used the downtime to complete their debut album, LEAD, released in 2022. and mastered by Hanspeter Huber, producer of Guns and Roses, Mötley Crue among others.
During this period, the band also refined the theatrical live production that has since become its trademark. Elaborate costumes, striking makeup, synchronized lighting show, and cinematic stagecraft transformed every performance into an immersive experience. While Dame Tu Alma's appearance suggests uncompromising extreme metal, their music reveals something far more dynamic: heavy riffs, infectious hooks, atmospheric melodies, and cinematic storytelling.
As live music returned, Dame Tu Alma joined German NDH outfit Stahlmann on tour, steadily expanding their audience in Germany. They were invited twice to perform at Nachtblut's summer concerts, shared stages with OST+FRONT, and later toured Europe alongside Gothminister. Festival appearances and shows in Germany, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Cyprus, and Switzerland, further cemented the band's reputation as one of the most exciting live discoveries on the European dark rock and metal circuit.
The band's growing reputation is reflected in the international press. Reviewing G-Fest in Cyprus, Time For Metal wrote: "Dame Tu Alma deserves far more attention and should easily hold its own at European festivals".
Dame Tu Alma is currently preparing their second album, Dream of Endymion, to be released song by song at every full moon throughout 2026. Inspired by the Greek mythology of the homonymous character, driven by cinematic storytelling, the album reflects the band's ambition to build an immersive world where every song contributes to a larger narrative.
